BORA 2002 2.0 engine oil and leak

Hi there,
My bora 2002, 2.0, auto, AZJ(made in Germany, 85kw), now 93000KM;
I changed oil at 88400km at VW dealer, but I forgot the type of oil. I want to know if Castrol Magnatec 10W-40 Oil is good for the engine?

Additionally the engine has oil consumption problem. Every 1500km burns 1L oil. I want to add some additive like "STP engine stop leak". Does that help?

No obvious leak and smoke can be found.

That oil is OK.What have you been using to top up?If you have had a good look and no leaks I would not use additives.Is the consumption increasing?If not this rate is poor but if its not smokey and runs well it may be acceptable but I would keep a check

I will buy the oil and go to garage for topping up. It looks the consumption doesn't increase, but I am not sure. Thanks.
