    Hi all,

new to this site as of today so hi to everyone!

i have just fitted some retro fit Rear Led's to my 2011 B8 A4.

They work fine and look great but errors are showing on the dash. I have read on other sites that this is a common problem.

its basically saying the bulbs are out!

    any advise?

    Reevey

    Yep - contact DavidB8 @ http://www.audienthusiasts.com/index.html

You may find he's a bit busy as many Americans are fitting the facelift rear lights now.

Just to clarify... Have you retrofitted genuine Audi B8 LED rear light clusters, or have you just replaced the incandescent bulbs in your existing light clusters with LED replacements?

I have replaced the whole cluster although it's not a Audi product.

To the naked eye there is hardly any difference to the genuine Audi led cluster.

Like I mentioned it's just showing a fault on the computer saying the bulbs are out.

Actually it's not that straight forward. Oops <blush>

You need access to a laptop and a VCDS cable too.

A few of us on here have it but it all depends if anyone is close to you.

    Hi
the only way to get these lights to work properly is to go to audi and ask them to recode the central convenience unit with SVM 050. You can not use VCDS to to the recode as the option to tell unit led light are installed is not avaliable. One other thing is for some strange reason if you have a saloon the correct central convenience unit is fitted to your car but if you have the avant you will need a new central convenience unit as the one fitted is not compatible with led light. Hope this helps.
