    Hi folks,
first post on here, hope you can help.
I've a 2007 Golf 170 TDI. It has recently had a new turbo fitted and fuel injectors (VW recall). 75000 miles.

On a number of occasions (3) the engine has got sluggish around 2000rpm and after about 10 minutes the "glowplug" warning light comes on. The 10 amp fuse (F23 in the engine compartment) blows. When the fuse is replaced full power comes back.

Local dealer thinks it might be a broken wire and is looking at taking the car in for "a few days" to find the fault.

Should he be looking for something more obvious e.g. intake manifold flap?

    thanks in anticapation.

    Problem solved.

When dealer had installed new turbo part of the wiring harness had been left slack and had melted against turbo.

Dealer accepted responsibility straight away and fixed issue.
