Can anybody give me any advice, i bought a 2004/54 3.0 petrol A8 yesterday and when i put the car into drive the car starts jerking and shaking and trying to move forward after driving for 5 mins car seems a little better but still doing it put the car in neutral and it ticks over ok put it in drive again and it starts shuddering and trying to move forward more than what it should do. i have 3 months warranty from the garage but i just wondered if it was this multitronic gearbox on its way out its done 89k with full service history last services at 87k it had a new cambelt done at 72k no mention of water-pump or the vibration kit although the bill did come to £997 any help or thought would be appreciated

If it is multitronic, then that sounds like the problem folks have with those.
Many of these warranties don't cover the first month of ownership, but your statutory rights are not affected, and you can get a refund or give them a chance to fix it.

I was taking to the garage the day after i bought it and i noticed it was in auto S so pulled over turned it off tried to start it and it wouldnt start. All it kept doing was flashing red where it says PDNS on the dash between the clocks. anyway its down at the audi specialist now they tell me it looks like the electrics in the box, i said i think its the clutch plates on the mulitronic box as it was trying to move forward and juddering when put in drive when stationary so we will see.
