Hi, Sorry if this has been covered before but Im looking at getting the best MPG out of my allroad as possible, Im trying to factor into this my driving style (easy on the throttle, high gears low revs, avoiding unnecessary braking etc), correct tyre pressures, tyre size and road biased tyres, any unwanted weight removed, air filter cleaned/renewed, removable roof rack bars removed, econ mode on the climate control whenever possible. (any more tips very welcome)

Presumably driving round on the lowest ride setting will increase the cars aerodynamics and save on the compressor too?

Are there any mods that can help (de EGR, de cat, etc?) that are legal and will pass the new MOT regs?

Is it more economical to let the auto box do its thing or to change up as early as pos using the tiptronic?

Ive seen chips online that claim to boost BHP, Torque and MPG I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with these items, if they work and which ones to recommend?

Avoid the plug in 'chips'. I had my allroad re-mapped and have seen improvements in MPG already. The auto box is thirstier and I was getting 23 mpg average this has gone up to 26 mpg, the torque and bhp have been increased too.
This re-map cost £249 and I should see this back in fuel savings over time !

I noticed improvements in mpg if I drive the car in manual mode in town driving, changing up earlier and using the grunt of the engine more - it's got plenty of it !
It's never going to get great fuel economy, it's a heavy car with a big CC engine.
