The trouble is, Audi say remove the valves but I strongly disagree with this, it is a panic measure they did not think through properly and I think the whole process was a cynical ploy to get owners back into the Audi system, just like the Beastie Boys badge freebie that VW did in the 80's, new badges but we get ALL your vital statistics.

Ah, it was the windscreen, as I suspected, but also the drains were partially blocked too. Oh and it was National Windscreens, not Autoglass, they did it in September 2010, so not much chance of getting it sorted by them, silicone for now, hopefully chipped later.

    Thanks for your help.

Try quoting the sale of goods act at them? Goods and services need to be fit for purpose - this job clearly was not...

As an update, I put some washing up liquid around the passenger side windscreen column, and then cover with water, I initially was looking for bubbles, saw a couple but not that many, just one or two. I then ran a hose over the windscreen.

Funnily enough I now have soapy water seeping out of the material of the passenger side windscreen column near the top, where on closer inspection is a bit of a messy job. National windscreens (closest branch is in Oswestry), said they were doubtful it was the windscreen, but if it is, then the windscreen will be replaced under warranty.

Thanks for your help, here's hoping when they look at it they come to the same conclusion that I and the garage have.

Windscreen replaced today free of charge, here's hoping this sorts it, and none of the other various places it could leak from aren't!
Thanks for the help as always.

Makes me want to weep (sorry can't do that, waste of water), these overpaid muppets in charge of the water utilities start a country wide panic over water shortages then we have the wettest April in 112 years!
