    Hi ive got a 2.8 quattro and the LCD is missing half the pixels ive got a second hand instrument cluster but the imobiliser cuts in and the car will not run how can i fix it

    you need it programmed using a computer . you may also need new chips in your keys .
    Audi 80 tdi avant with 360,000 miles...

    It probably doesnt need soldering, they are usually these weird rubber things that have the wires in them that become unseated. You may find with a quick clean and a firm reseat with the metal backing plate tightly secured it will sort the problem.

    Ive had the instrument cluster apart and it definately looks soldered about 30 small wires straight to the board
