Electric Wing Mirror Switch Replacement

Hi,

I have been using my mk6 golf 2009 for a driving tuition car for the past few months while I source a new one. I had a pupil today that decided they would snap the wing mirror adjustment knob clean off in their hand........

Does anyone know how this is replaced? I guess it is clipped into the door card part somewhere but I am unsure.

VW said they could order me a new one at the pricey sum of £31.... does anyone know the part number? Non folding btw.

Probably need the door card off like most other models, usually just a couple of screws.

I changed it on my mk5 should just clip out once you've pulled off the surround. Used one similar to that in the eBay link, less than £10 and seems genuine
