Well I'd get the garage finished before you do get a restoration project, trust me you won't get the garage finished once you do and you'd soon get bored of working out in the great british weather!

She sometimes think's I spend a bit too much time playing with my cars but I also remind her that she's quite happy for me to service and repair her car and tow her horse box with the range rover. Its fair to say we could probably just have a range rover and another car between us but i've no intention of that ever
You may think I'm being helpful yet sarcastic, this is only because I feel I need to help you to help yourself in the future

The wife & I started looking at bigger houses today. I've made it clear to her that if we do move I'm happy to up the mortgage payments so she gets the house she wants on the condition that there is enough drive space for me to buy an old Land Rover and tinker with it.

Dude, I had the exact same conversation with mine except my tinkering car of choice was an oldschool Beetle.

We moved to the house she wanted.

The Beetle is still a dream.

    Buyer beware

A nice little compromise but be sure to get the Land Rover as soon as possible once the new house is yours. You got anything particular in mind?

Whatever I can afford! Long term, I think I'd change job: We're a two car family at the minute but if we move where we'd like to the missus could get rid of her car as we could both get the train to work and have the A4 for whevener we needed a car.

I'd love anything, I think I'd go for a cheap Series 3 or even Wolf.
It all depends on our meeting with a financial advisor on how bigger a mortgage we can get.

15th February 2007 that's the last time I even saw a door..........we have some issues!!

Banned from watching footie most of the time, top gear most of the time, going to the pub, doing anything for my daughter by a previous marriage, buying anything at all for myself as we can't afford it (apparently!), food shopping. Probably loads of other things too.

    But I am not bitter!
