    Hi Guys

done the numpty trick of putting unleaded in my Passat 1.9 tdi!
Got it towed home and got a mechanic albeit a Peugeot one coming round to do the work - got a pump and some empty tanks - where/how do we empty it?
I have got a new fuel filter on order too.
    Put in 53 litres btw

Need urgent help guys - got a mechanic mate round and the thing under the rear seats is not the fuel pump(as in the link from thread above) - a Duosensor ESP thing???
Where is it located and how to access, please. BTW mine is an auto gearbox if that makes any difference?

If it was me and I had access to a pump, I would pull the feed off the tandem pump under the bonnet and suck the fuel out from there. The fuel pump is there in the tank. You can't be looking in the right spot. Look for some wires.

    Thanks Martin
we did end up draining the tank through the filler hole, then changed the fuel filter, put a 5 litres in through the filler hole and started up - bit of smoke at first, revved it up and let it tick over for 5 mins - going to fill it up now. Bodes well so far The thread I put up, said it was under the rear seats, which was for a 02 B5 Passat, so not sure why a 03 one is different, but mine is an automatic!?

I'm sure you will be fine. You can get away with quite a bit of petrol mixed in with diesel. The killer is neat petrol. It lacks the lubricating properties of diesel so pumps and injectors die quickly when fed neat petrol.
