Help please Audi b7 double din comparability ?

I am wondering if anyone can help? I have a Audi a4 b7 and the stereo always sticks and the buttons sometimes jam. I think maybe coke has spilled from the cup holder at some time in its life. I am looking to buy a new one and there is one on eBay from a a3 s3 09 plate. I am wondering if this would fit? And work off the steering wheel

Would need to see a picture of what you currently have, or you tell us what you have? Double or single din?

Would also need to see a picture of what you are looking at on ebay, or you tell us what it is you have seen on ebay? Double or single din? Aftermarket (non genuine Audi) or Audi?

OEM A3 head unit is no good in an A4. However you need to be more specific about what head unit you have.....

Thank you for the replys . I have the standard double din concert stereo and looks identical to this one I am bidding on 290689886546 in eBay. It is also a original Audi stereo. Thank you

If you have a B7 A4 then you are wasting your money bidding on one from an A3.

They are different shapes and will not fit. You need one specific for the B7 A4.

IF you are handy with the tools then you could strip down both radios and swop the faceplates over. You could just strip your radio down and clean out the buttons etc with electrical contact cleaner.

The player also sticks half way through a cd. Is there anyway of cleaning the lens if I strip it or just use a lens cleaner?

You could clean it but there is no guarantee it'll fix your problem.

Easiest is to replace it with the correct radio I think.

Also the sticking is a common fault with these types of cd players and its why I chose to change mine to an aftermarket (non Audi). Best solution is a new cd player.
