07 a4 2.0 tdi 170 doesnt seem to be boosting properly?

just acquired a 07 a4 avant 170 bhp manual.

only got round to putting my foot down today and there seems to be a long lag/delay before anything happens and even after that speed build up is very slow and very hesistant.

No fault codes present. Idles bang on.

Only thing i can see is that its not had a service in about 30,000 miles approx.
Well nothing in the book to suggest otherwise.

Oil Levels are topped up.

Any idea as to what it could be?

I think most of the 170 TDi PD cars are subject to a recall to have the injectors and the injector wiring loom replaced. Give Audi Customer Services a call to see if your car is affected by this.

I had a very similar problem, turned out to be the fuel filter, as yours has not been serviced for a while could be worth changing as they are so cheap, that’s where i would start.

Seriously ! 30'000 miles without a service and you ask a question about why low performance lol ! Get her breathing right ( new air filter ) fueling right ( new fuel filter ) and lubed right ( new oil and filter ) and then repost

Rang Audi who confirmed a recall is due on it will also get it serviced at the same time
