    Hi Folks

Thought I should spread the word. Asda are doing Castrol Edge 5w30 4ltr for £27.50. I have been looking to get these and i think at this price its a steal. Just been to my local and picked up a bottle. Hope you guys find this deal as good as I did. And no I dont work for Asda. Its an Instore offer only, i think on web its still at £35.

Sorry mods but i thought its a bit of a benefit for the members.

I used Quantum III 5w-30 this is the retail oil that most VAG dealers sell, was able to get from an Audi dealer for same price as off ebay £66 for 2x5ltr now I think they £64. They come in 5ltr packs and are VW 504 00 & 507 00 approved, it also seems as this is Castrol Edge oil rebranded for VAG from what you read on the web...

was gonna go for that but i gotta get my cambelt done and probably bung in a service with that as well so it would have been a waste. Thats why i bought the oil to top up instead.

That not a bad deal at all... I was in Costco (Quite a while back) and they were selling Castrol EDGE (5w-30) for £9.99 plus VAT for 3x1L bottles! So I bought over £250 worth of the stuff and I've still got well over 40ltr of the stuff left in my garage... Now that was one Hell of a bargin :-)

Lol... When I see a deal like that I just couldn't let it go!... You should have seen the girls face when I went to the check out! She thought I had a garage! Funny thing was I called Castrol to ask some tech questions about the stuff and ended up tell them what I bought it for! The guy told me that they couldn't even make it for that price and was gonna hot foot it to Costco to get a rook of the stuff himself!
