i just want to turn off service light and find out why my car just cuts out i been told to get the memoscan as it tells you the fault code and what it means and does other things please can you help asap as i need to buy one thanx dan

All of the devices listed in your post are cheap (and illegal) clones of official products. Please see the sticky thread (Rules of the VCDS...) in this section for our stance.

If all you want to do is clear a service light and check for any fault codes something from here - http://www.gendan.co.uk/category_145.html - will do that for you.

You'll find most of us will recommend the all singing all dancing VCDS kit, but you have to pay to play.
