  1. Fuel filler flap locking mechanism

The fuel filler flap is not locking on my '02 A6 2.5 Tdi quattro Saloon.
I had a look in the boot and the pin mechanism is loose... So much so it's now sat with its red emergency release tag on my kitchen window.
I presume it's just come loose as it doesn't look broken, but there's a big black box (the stereo amp?) in the way.
Do I just remove the amp by disconnecting the wiring and in unbolting it (I can see one bolt at the bottom) and reconnect the pin?

For anyone interested, this was fixed in about an hour or so by following this guide

    http://www.audiworld.com/tech/misc46.shtml

I simply reconnected the pin to the mechanism after stripping everything out lol.

Yep exactly the same thing on mine and I had bought a new motor to replace it in one and then found no problem other than disconnected pin!

Oh well if I ever have a motor fail I am ready for it lol
