I hope someone can help me.
Waiting to turn right at a set of lights, indicators flashing, they suddenly all came on and stayed on, not flashing but permanently illuminated. I removed the flasher relay fuse #2, and the still stayed on, then removed the hazard flasher relay and they went off. I could continue to then use the indicators but they flashed really quickly with a noticable clicking sound from the hazard switch.
Does this mean the hazard relay is caput, and if so is it part of the switch?
    Thanks in advance folks.

    Update
A little trip to Liverpool Audi, £40 lighter. Swapped the unit over but still have the problem of all indicaters perminantly on but when the hazard relay fuse is removed the lights go off, allowing me to use the turn signals ok but no hazards!!
Does anyone know if I need to reset anything via the cars computer or if there is another relay somewhere?

Sometimes a little contact cleaner on the contact ring on the column can help - spray it on and go from lock to lock with each indicator switched on to clean contact ring - they get gunked up with dust and fluff.

I have tried contact cleaner, but still no joy.
Would anybody know if the indicators are controlled through the unit in the passenger footwell? If so I fear this may need replacing.

You need the cct diagram and a meter. One possibility is the the cental locking unit has a fault and there is a signal that pulses all flashers when you lock unlock the car. There is also a signal from the Airbag control; unit that puts the hazard flashes on if the airbags go off. PM me for the diagrams. Regards Peter

Thanks for the offer of the diagrams Peter, but I would not have a clue what I was doing with them!
