Please can somone help me? I have just bought a second hand 1999 Sharan 1.8 turbo. The handbook is missing and there are some functions that I need clarification on. On the end of the windscreen wiper switch arm there is a switch which rocks either upwards or downwards which has markings "MF1" and "MF2". I assume the "MF" means multi-function. When I press this button either way the display on the instrument panel changes displaying various bits of information. Some of this information is obvious like for instance the Oil Temperature, Outside Temperature and fuel consumption. There is some other information which is not so obvious but looks like they are functions of time and also anothers which looks like functions of distance. Can anyone advise me what these other readings indicate and why there should be the same information in "MF1" and "MF2"? Also I have noticed that on the left hand side of the intrument panel there is a button that is used to reset the trip meter to read zero. I have noticed, however, that the trip meter works fine all day. When I turn on the ignition the next day I see that the trip milegae seems to have reset to zero again by itself. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong? If it is not normal what can I do to rectify the problem? Thanks - I wait in anticipation for some information - Thanks - Evan
