I have the electronic system when I select the heater to blow through the vents no warm air comes out yet the floor heating and warm air for the screen wirk. What could it be? Update my mechanic friend says it could be the flap direction motor could have failed he has not looked at it though

You need top have the HVAC system fault code scanned, the codes printed and then cleared. Then you carry out the basic setting of the flaps and then test then in output tests. Then operate the system trough all its functions and read the codes again. Some faults will only show up if the basic settings are performed. Most of the flap motors require the complete dash board and cross member together with the air conditioning system to be removed to allow them to be changed.
