So my 2008 SEL 170 ESTATE is on 97k , having a full service history and probably worth not a lot of money for the car, I decided to stick with it till dust shall prevail.

I have had the injector recall a few weeks back and hopefully the turbo will last another 50k however I would like to do some maintenance as there are a few issues

I have a knok coming from the drivers side when travelling over uneven surfaces , its very weird and some friend of mine changed 4-6 bushes and a control arm , but that didn't cure the problem , he also done 4wheel alignment but said he wasnt sure to tell me what the problem is , he thinks broken spring or damaged mount , would it be worth changing all our shocks and springs with all new bushes and control arm kit to make it like new ?

Would a new coilover kit improve anything or go OEM all the way ?

EGR valve , delete or clean ?

    DPF / Remove ?

When my lift pump broke I spent a whole sunday trying to get it started , since then I noticed car a bit hesitant as if the turbo had more lag . When I changed my injectors the VW garage said the car is fine just low tire thread

    Sorry about the essay

    Happy Pancake Day

Try the top strut mounts first.

    Clean it

Leave it, if it ain't played up yet your obviously doing the right type of driving.

VW won't admit to anything mate, do a simple thing, undo the battery for an hour and let the ecu reset.

Weirdly enough most my driving is under 10 miles in and around London with lots of short journeys
