Hi all. Just had car back from independent garage after management light came on. Codes recorded were p0171(running too lean),008583(system too lean at idle?),001602(pcm program fault?) and 012599(fuel pump relay circuit?). Not sure if i am 100% correct on descriptions of codes. Was informed new Intake Manifold Runner required and software update also. Update only available from maindealer apparently. Has anyone any idea as to how much this would cost from audi main dealer. I'm driving A4 2.0t fsi 56 plate. Any info on the other codes would also be appreciated. Only purchased car three weeks ago. Under warranty. If cost is too high dealer has given me the option of exchanging car for another. If nothing available in stock he will sorce one for me. Car has been into garage 4 times now. :-(. Must say dealer has been good as gold

    Ref the software up date,
Any independent running the Autologic Diagnostic platform will be able to carry out updates along with any key coding (even the later revolving code type) Module/ECU fitting and programming, Immo work etc.

I would have thought anyone running a genuine VAS system should also be able to do it but could be wrong on that one. Autologic will definitely do it.

    Hope this helps.

    Steve
