High Ive recently purchased an 05 highline 1.9tdi 130 with high miles , the clutch pedal is biting at the very last and i suspect the clutch is starting to slip {ouch} Do i need to purchase a full kit ie:dual mass flywheel ect or can just the clutch plate just be changed and at what sort of prices am I looking at ? The car still drives and im now not using it until ive resolved the issues incase of more damage !

First of all, you need to establish if the clutch is actually slipping or not, if not, a high-biting clutch
    can last for ages.

If it is slipping, then its best to replace the clutch-plate/pressure-plate/thrust-bearing and DMF.

Prices will vary for both parts and labour, so shop around.

    Regards
    Jim

Most motor factors just need the reg number, but its handy to have the
engine, box and vin numbers, also 5 or 6 speed.

BTW What mileage is on the car?

    Regards

That's not too bad, plenty of life left in her yet!!

It's probably been driven carefully, or the clutch would have given-up a long time ago.
