Hi all, thought i would give the MAF sensor a light blast with some contact cleaner after looking at some data logged from vagcom. This is what i found!

Not so much a MAF sensor eh! but a bit of plastic, no idea where the resistor has gone, probably stuck in the intercooler, or previously removed for some reason?
Also.....this wire looks like it been snipped, the clip on the plug has been broken too.

Might this be the heart of my dead spots?
You don't know how it works until you take it apart!
