OOPS sorry wrong thread should have gone into the B5 forum 1997 - 2005 can some admin person put it in the correct thread.
    Sorry.

    Hi All,
I suspect that this has been raised a couple of times, as Idid see something in the golf forum about this.
Anyway, so I must apologies for restarting something thatmaybe old/new.
    So my first post.
    Passat TDI Sport (130) 2003
My ESP light came on, and it runs lumpy, Ihave a diag reader but it claims that the diagnostic codes are 0, if I turn offmy car and restart, everything is fine, I could go for miles and nothing, but Ican go down the road and hey presto, the ESP light is back on and it starts torun lumpy again.
In the Golf forum, it was claimed that it was required ahead wiring harness, but I can't find any evidence or a picture what this lookslike; maybe I have this wrong or dreamt about it.
Could someone shed any light on this?
And if possible is there a like what it looks like and is iteasy to change?
    Thanks
    James

Your diagnostic reader is missing a code or two. It is quite likely that the head harness is the culprit but I suggest a proper reliable code read first.
