I have just replaced all of the front suspension (Febi genuine) and shock absorbers (TRW)
and have had the tracking done 4 wheel type. I now find that the steering is not as responsive as compared with before it was retracked. It was very sharp even with worn shocks and a knocking top arm.
    I have 225 x 45 x17 tyres on 7.5 inch rims.
I phoned the garage who tracked it and asked them what is is set to. He said +2mm so that is 1mm toe out per side, this is according to his book.
Has anyone has this same problem and what was the remedy please. I always thought that the front wheels were always toe'd in very slightly!!

I think the toe out should be about 10 seconds which is more or less zero per wheel. My maths is a bit rusty and depending on where he measures from, the 1mm per side on 17" wheels could give a toe-out of about 2.65 degrees per wheel which is nuts. I would get it set straight and see how that feels.
