    Hi everyone.

I have a 2003 V6Tdi Passat. When I rev it to about 2500rpm it seems to be missing on a cylinder. I would be greatfull if anyone has any ideas as to wether this would be a valve problem or maybe an injector problem? Or anything else I havnt thought of!
    Any help would be great.
A few months ago my wife put petrol in instead of diesel if this would have any bearing on it.
    Thanks again

hi there Paul49. When the petrol was put in the tank, was the car run? there is a possibilty that the fuel could have damaged the distribution pump. Does the 'mis' continue further up the rev range?

    Hi cherryB,
The car was run until the alternator light came on and possibly for a while after it until it would no longer start.
It seems to be better when it is cold but it is always there no matter what gear i am in at about 2000rpm however you can notice it more in first
    Thanks for your help

Start with the easiest fist, change the fuel filter.
To determine which cylinder is playing up get someone to put there foot on the accelerator until it starts missing then undo and re tighten the injector pipe's one by one and the one that doesn't affect the engine noise is the cylinder that is playing up.
If it is a pd then you can't do this so tough, there are other ways though.
