I'd suggest getting yourself a Haynes manual if you're on a website looking for pointers!

No point wasting money on one tbh, all i was looking for was pointers of any problems i may come across and that is why we all use the forums "buy a haynes manual" would be the answer to 80% of the posts on any forum

Well I've never removed an Audi engine myself but I've seen material that goes into detail about how its done. You need to separate the box from the engine, there is not enough clearance to get the engine and gearbox out together.

However I do remember someone moving the bumper into a "Service Position" which allowed access to the entire front end of the engine, in fact I think they opened it like a door which allowed loads of space to remove engine and gearbox together by brining the whole load forward from the front. Think I found it just looking around on Google.

I was wondering why you would think of removing an engine when you have to ask how to remove the bumper lol

    Good luck.

as i have never worked on an audi the car is parked 30 miles form where i live and was last seen by my self six months ago at which point i never even looked at what was involved in doing the job so whats the problem with me asking whats needed i have never removed the full front of a car to take the engine out

Also if you have nothing constructive to say go and post else where there is no need for stupid replies to a simple question asking for advice
