    Hi All

My mrs has got an old LT40 F reg horsebox with the 2.5 litre 6 cyl petrol engine.

After driving for a good while (1 hr+) the lorry starts to lose power, almost misfiring and splutters. local commercail tech has told us to check the inline fuel filter that sits above the fuel tank, which is really black so going to change this anyway.

My question is; if the filter was to blame, surely it would behave like this all the time?

i dont think its using / losing water, and cant see any lose electrical connections etc.

there was a really small amount of milk on oil cap, but I'm dismissing this as condensation as the lorry gets used twice a month, if that.

Any ideas / suggestions would be really appreciated!
