    Hey guys,

A bit of news you probably know about already but for those who dont, i belive that some time last year there was a recall by audi regarding faulty coil packs, i read this in one of the forums some time ago and didnt think anything of it as i didnt have any issues with the coils, however today i was a little bored on my luch break at work and decided to go into the dealers which is local to my office and asked the question? The service team we're very helpful and booked me in for 4 new FOC!!!! Did i mention FOC!!!! Coils, i belive this recall is relevant to B6 models from 2002 on

May be worth a trip down to your local dealers.........they told me to bring my V5 and service book as they will stamp the the book for me aswell, now thats what i call a result!

I had mine done about a month ago, aswell as the Plenum chamber recall. But i got a free Healthcheck that uncovered £2,000 worth of faults!!! lol. £45 for wiper blades!! i got them for £5 off ebay!!

almost £500 for tyres!! they certainly do try it on when they do the free recall!

The best one on the list was£85 for investigation work to locate an oil leak!! but when i booked it in i told them i needed a screw for the cambelt tensioner switch as i dropped it when i replaced the coolant flange and it was dripping oil from the switch, they ordered the screw and i paid for it there and then. I DONE THE INVESTIGATION WORK FOR THEM!!!!! I SHOULD'VE CHARGED THEM £85!!!!

What do you mean investigation work? They investigated without asking you then tried to charge you 85 quid? Nah, none of that! Don't want no health checks no investigating just coil packs lol.

What's the plenum chamber? What does that do? Is it worth gettin that done?

No they, gave me a list of stuff that needed doing, and on that list was £85 to locate an oil leak, but i'd already told them where it was coming from lol.

The plenum chamber isonly a problem in certain year cars, it was fixed once they realised the problem, you car would have the upgaded pipes from the factory with the bungs already in them
