    Hi everyone,

I have a 2011 1.6 TDI Highline 105bhp with the "basic" climatic air con system. My quesiton is, if I got hold of a 2Zone ciimate control unit for the dash, is there anything else required to install it. Does it have extra sensors or cabling which isnt already in the car? I had an A4 with the dual zone climate control and loved it. Would like the 2Zone for the golf.

    Thanks
    Alan

See the link below (Reply no. 6 in the thread). Looks to be a big job, with the potential for dash rattles afterwards from having to take the dash out.

I've got dual zone in my current car and I had the simple climatic in my previous car (mk5 golf GT TDI 170). If my current car hadn't had dual zone air con as standard, I wouldn't have paid extra for it. The climatic in my mk5 was very efficient and much easier and safer to adjust on the move; no buttons to find to redirect airflow to feet, face or screen; just a simple turn of a dial. Sometimes less is more.

Thanks for the quick reply, I think you may be right, I don't fancy having to take the dash out.

Yeah its a huge job involving a significant amount of work. Not really worth the time of effort involved, and as above risk of things going wrong.
