    Finally went back to a Passat after 4 long years with a Ford Mundano.

    I'm parking my car in a rough old area some nights with a cacophony of car alarms going off, but have no idea what my Passats car alarm sounds like.

    Any one know the best way to test it please short of putting a brick through my own window?

    Welcome aboard!

    Mine goes off if I do the following;

    Lock the car.
    Unlock the car using the boot release button (central one on the three button fob - press and hold until you hear the boot pop).
    Leave the car (ie don't open the boot fully) until it rearms itself.
    Open the boot.

    Considering selling my VCDS KEY-USB interface. If you're interested please contact me via PM or email.
