Aftermarket DVD player thud/pop when connected to BOSE amp

Hi. My 2003 A4 Avant was due a nice upgrade from my basic Symphany II CD player with Bose Sound System. I treated myself to a DVD player that looks like it was made my Audi.

At first there was no sound using the wiring that came with the dvd player. The seller then suggested that I move the AMP-C wire to the AMP wire from the car - makes sense. I now get sound, but when a track ends or if you lower the sound to zero, or even if you increase sound from zero to volume 1 - there is a thud/pop that comes from the AMP. It sounds like charged capacitors that are in the AMP which are controlled by the original CD player, but the aftermarket HU might just ground the AMP???
I contacted the seller again, but this time they say they are stumped. It is anoying enough to stop me using it and therefore I am still using the Symphany player which works fine.
Is there a wiring harness for Audi's with BOSE systems in that would compensate for this issue?

Hi,

How are you wiring it now without an adapter? Is your system Bose amp's front and rear or just rear and do you have a sub in the boot?

I have changed my entire system (HU, speakers, sub and amp) as the Bose setup is very strange!
