Sticky door lock

Had problems with the passenger door lock a while back. Sometimes had to pull the handle twice before it would open, once would pull open onto secondary latch and again to release fully. started having to wack the door to get it to open at all after a while, so I got one from the scrapyard to replace.

The second one has started with the same problem after a couple of months.

I get the impression its a common problem so I think a shiny new one will have to be ordered, but do I get a wallet sapping VW one or a cheap Polish one of ebay?

My part number is 25L.....3B2 837015L
But the one advertised says 3B187015A

It looks pritty much identical but Googleing it suggests that it's a skoda part and only compatible with Lefthand drives?

Anyone tried these parts? will they work the same. I'm sure there is comonality over a lot of VWs and skodas, but need to be sure on this one.

The cheap one is about £45 and I'm told the VW one will be at least twice that.

Hi.
I had a problem with my door lock which meant it had to be replaced.
Got the replacement one from VW for £80 and got my autospark to fit for £30.
Never thought at the time about a cheaper version.
I guess if you can get one cheaper, I would go for that !
