    i have a 2005 bora tdi witch i changed the fuel filter it started straight away then stoped now it wont start any help would be greatly apriciated

    i filled the filter to the top but i had put one of the pipes in the air to stop it from draining iv managed to get it started thanks i had to keep turning the engine after 3 hours an a few jump leads later it started many thanks again

    Air in the system, I dont know the engine in your car, but I know the a3 tdi from 05 has a bleed screw on the filter housing, so if yours does, did you unplug the loom to the injector etc rail & then turn the car over to bleed the fuel into the filter then screw it up & then reconnect engine loom & then start?

    That way it doesnt push any air through.
