Service Reset for Audi A3 8P –

I'm trying to reset the "SERVICE NOW!" indication on a friends A3 8P. I'm unsure whether it is set for Fixed Servicing or Variable; but it has been serviced with VW504/507 oil so he would like it to be on variable servicing.
Here's my futile attempts. What do I need to do to clear the service indicator?
