I havent even got my new S3 yet, but what is the opinion on putting on 19s? My 1st question is the handling - Im not gonna use it on a track, just public roads.
2nd question is, would it look crap if its not lowered first? As the overal diameter of a 19" wheel with 35series tyres on is larger than the stock wheels, Im consious that it will look higher of the ground and a bit daft!

Anyone have any pics of a standard, not lowered 2007 S3 with 19s on?

Have a 3.2 Quattro S-line with OEM 18’s (RS6 style) and was actually thinking a couple of weeks ago about may be upgrading to some OEM 19’s, (proper RS6) but decided against it in the end as I think they’ll look too big on the A3.

I really like the look of the S3 wheels; IMO would leave them alone and spend the money on a re-map!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Had my name down for an S3 a while back but bought an Elise in the end and now also an A3 3.2 Quattro as the Elise doesn’t like the wet. Have had the A3 remapped to around 280bhp, but your S3 could go to 300+.)

Cheers for your experience. REVO do a good package which takes the S3 to about 306bhp for around £500 and you can get a key which you plug in which returns the mapping to stock to get around the warranty issue!

You have any pics of S3s or A3s with 19s on?

I would guess that it should be possible to get much more out of the S3, I had a Golf MK5 GTI with the weaker version engine of your S3 and with Shell V-power and advanced boost and timing it was around the 265/270 bhp mark with just a re-map - so would guess around 335/340bhp for the S3!!

Sorry, don’t have any pictures, but when thinking about the 19’s I actually thought the 18’s fill the arches perfectly, as a result wouldn’t even think about lowering it. The 18’s just look the right size and the car the right height. Guess the 3.2 and the S3 must have similar sporty/lowered suspension, if not sportier for the S3 so IMO would leave your S3 alone.
