    hi everyone!
    I`ve just bought a a6 s line 2011 model 2.7 tdi multitronic,
So far so good but I`m planning on going ski in France and I need winter tyres and I would preffer to have them on a separate set of wheels. when I`ve asked the dealer about a price I think I`ve asked him about 3 times if the price is not for the whole set but it wasn`t: £575.00 a piece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
now I found on ebay the same wheels... genuine coming off an a4 s line, same size 18 inches but the offset is ET47. What I have on my car says ET45, apart from that they are identically the same.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME WITH THIS? HOW BAD WILL IT BE IF I FIT THESE WHEELS? HOW CAN AFFECT THE CAR PROPERTIES AND PERFORMANCE?

looking forward to hear from you!!!!
    thanks!

2mm difference in offset will not make any difference so buy them

Or, just to complicate matters, get a smaller set...17'' smaller (narrower) the tyre, the better it will work in snow.....its what most of the Continentals do ; tyres are a bit cheaper too in 17'' flavour Stock on my A6 Avant are 245 40 18's......i dropped to 225 50 17 after picking up a set of oem A4 alloys for £200.
Just be aware that depending on the model of A4 they came off, the bore (diameter of the axle that the alloy sits on, very basically) may be 66mm, whereas the A6 is 57mm.
I think that any A4 B8, ie the latest model has the larger bore. This means you'll need to buy spigot rings to make sure the wheel sits centrally on the axle. They can be found on ebay for a few quid; they are only made of plastic but are important. Here is a set..... http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPIGOT-RIN...#ht_640wt_1139

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUDI-A4-A6...ht_5106wt_1270

These are the style of wheel I bought and they ARE 66mm centre bore so I needed the above spigot rings to fit.

    Neil

Thanks Neil! I'll go for the 18" set as it's identically the same with what I have now. Tyres are not a problem for me..... My sister works in France for Michelin so I get quite a fair deal for them.

You are one one lucky chap! Good luck with the purchase.....makes a huge difference when driving on the white stuff with winter tyres. I'm off to the Czech Republic at the beginning of February so will be needing mine too hopefully!
