2.0 TFSI BPJ oil pump failed

Hi,

I have an A6 with same BPJ engine also 2008 but only 50k miles. Is there anything I can do to determine if this is on it's way to failure or not?

In terms of prevention there's regular servicing, and I try to let the engine warm up for at least 30secs before driving off, or idle settles to ensure oil has reached all areas of engine.

I hope I can get over 100k miles, no doubt I'll be wanting an upgrade at some point.

I would guess any 2.0 tfsi oil pump failure would come from the pumps chain tensioner ?
