Cruise control has stopped working all of a sudden. Tried pressing to set and nothing happened. No light on dash and cruise doesn't work at all.

Looking in the manual I can't find a sepcific fuse for cruise control.

Everything else seems to be working fine.

Any ideas of where to start looking?

    Thanks,

    D

Faulty brake or clutch pedal switch.

like said, clutch pedal switch ?

If the switch is faulty, the car senses the clutch being engaged and hence switches off the cruise control.
Same way when you have a working cruise control and depress the clutch, the cruise control swicthes off.

I'd guess clutch switch as well, here is my guide on identifying and replacing your clutch switch, nice easy job an quite cheap to do yourself with minimal skills.

seems this was a common fault around 56 - 57 plate UK A4's, guess Audi did not see it as a life threatening issue so did not recall?

Try the clutch pedal switch, most likely that will be the problem. My cruise wasn't working either, I just changed the clutch pedal switch today, only took me 5 minutes and voila, it works perfect now. The switch only cost me £14 from my local Audi dealer.
