Personally I would use nothing except an NGK PFR6Q in that engine but the Bosch equivalent is a FR 7 KPP 33+.

VW only list their number 101 000 063 AA and this is specifically listed as an NGK application which I get as PFR6Q and NGK’s own listing says the same. VAG often list Beru, Champion, Bosch and NGK applications for the same engine, if given the choice I fit Beru as they have always been very reliable for me, Bosch certainly have not… The Bosch equivalent to 101 000 063 AA is listed as being FR 7 KPP 33+ and this is confirmed by Bosch Germanys own list and is a Bosch 0 242 236 564, the Bosch part number for an FR78 is 0 242 232 801 but that is their KSN number 509 which is what they say in one of their listings for an AWT engine and their equivalent to the VW number 101 000 063 AA lists two additional numbers to the FR 7 KPP 33+ and the Bosch FR78 is their number 0 242 232 501. I have sat here for the last hour and tried to make sense of it all and to be honest all I can say is Bosch’s applications charts make my head hurt…

Have you fitted them yet, if so, any noticable improvement?
I have the Bosch ones fitted by the previous owner, but plan to fit NGK soon.
