    Help
I have a 2.5tdi with a battery drain, it all started after the pendulum chamber was flooded a couple of months ago, I've takin the car to a auto electrician who had the car for 2 weeks but he couldnt find the fault to fix it.
    The symptoms are.
The hazard warning switch lights up for 2 seconds then goes off for 10 seconds even when the alarm is turned off, also when the alarm is turned on the L E D on the drivers door flash's as normal but every fourth flash it double flash's.
I have found that there is a 0.8amp drain at the same time as the hazard switch lights up, I've also pulled every fuse out of the fuse box but i still have the 0.8amp which is killing my battery over 3 days if I don't use the car.

    Would greatful for any advice
    Thanks

Possibly the ECU was damaged too? Did the auto-electrician plug it into vag-com to pull any fault codes? How old is the battery?

There are more than one fuse panels; so make sure you find them all. Also, some devices are directly fed, so ultimately you'll need to refer to a current flow diagram.

The Central Convenience Module (which handles the alarm functions too) is located under the carpet under the front passenger seat - these are known to get fried when the drains are blocked and the rainwater goes inside the passenger compartment. If it has got wet, you may be lucky in removing it and drying it over a radiator for a good few hours.

If the plenum chamber has flooded, you must unblock the drains. Poke through with your finger or something. flush with plenty of water to clear away other debris that would just block the drains again. One under the battery, the other under the brake servo.

    Hi
The central convenience module was dry,the ECU was sent away and came back with a clean bill of health, the battery is 1 year old which also has been tested.
Please could tell me where the other fuse panels are? I have no fault codes when I use the VAG-COM.

    Thanks

There is also wiring in the passenger footwell under the plastic trim. Check to ensure this area is dry. The rear wash-wipe pipe (if you've got an avant) runs through here too.

    Update
After my car spending all day at another auto electrician and to be told its not the central convenience module, (thats what I told him when I dropped the car off) I allready knew that wasn't the problem after my last visit to the first spark. Is there anything where the ECU is located that could cause the symptoms?
There is no vag-com codes to help with and I don't want to waist more money as I think **** Turpin was running that garage today!
I love to hear any ideas.

    Taz
