    Hi All,
Had something odd happen today. Was driving along on an airport run to heathrow. On the return half of the journey, my DIS decided to go completely white and be totally unresponsive. I tried turning the car on/off and unlocking/locking it and nothing seemed to get it back to normal. Eventually I got it working after the car had been parked up for a while. I could still use the analogue rev-counter and speedo ok, but lost my digital speedo and couldn't use the mobile phone facilities. Has anyone else had this happen? Ive heard rumours that the A1 has done this a few times before. The car is booked in for friday as it is all under warranty.

new dash due to over voltage in the dash no faults store normally

the a1 fault is not the dash its the mmi screen freezing and going blank briefly and its under investigation, but replacing the data cable from radio to the screen seems to fix it

Curious. Is there any particular reason/scenario that causes this to happen? Or is it just a known fault? They did mention that I need to bring both keys as they may need to replace the dash.
