I am thinking of fitting 17" Santa Monica alloys to a MK4 Golf GT TDi 130. Can anyone advise the standard tyre size as fitted by VW to these wheels, please?

Also, if I am changing from 15" or 16" wheels to 17" wheels does anything need to be modified, for example, suspension, speedo calibration, before doing this?

    Thanks

good choice of alloys, but why not go for 18s with 225/40/18 no mods needed they fill wheel arch without looking to big, i've just put r32 alloys on mine and they look mint,.

I have them on my v6 4motion, the tyre size is 225/45/R17/W, they are really nice wheels, no mods are needed to fit them.

A lot of people that i have spoken to said that Gt tdi 130 is better than the 150 because the turbo is smaller and it spools up faster, then you can have it chiped and you should be very happy
