    Hello,

    A few questions.

How do I enable the hidden menu in an A6 4f MMI 2g High to show the battery monitor.

How would I also configure needle sweep and the lock confirmation chirp?

    Thanks!

You need VCDS/vagcom to do all 3 things you mention.

Needle sweep will only work on the facelift 4F ~58 plate onwards.

    Hidden menu
    Module 07 - Control Head
    Adaption - Channel 008
    Set unit to 1.
Reset MMI - Setup Central Control Wheel & inner right key

    Battery Meter
Hold SETUP & CAR together for 2 or 3 seconds. It has a nack to get it right so try numerous times.
    Scroll down to DIAG settings
    Then Car Menus Maske
Scroll to Battery meter, press control wheel
Scroll down to bottom and save changes.
    Reset MMI as above.
    Press Car then Battery Meter

    Lock Chirp
    Module 46 - Comfort System
    Coding
+2048 to the whole value given. You may need a calculator
    Test and save
    Lock car with keyfob

*Whilst in the Hidden Menu, DO NOT go anywhere near Bootloader!!*

    Hope this helps

Could anyone help me connecting to my A6 4F (2009) model as I used to have a USB ODBII cable from Ebay and used VCDS-Lite to scan and code my Audi A4 B5 (2000) model but doesn't seem to work with my new A6. It does detect cable but reports that my car is not ODB-II compatible and suggests that if my car is Audi I should select Individual Controllers but not sure where to go from here.

Also tried to get into Hidden Menu using the instructions above by pressing CAR + SETUP but doesn't seem to do anything whatever I try. Does it require some VCDS coding before it works?

Finally any idea that how I could reset the SERVICE INTERVAL WARNING on Audi A6 4F (2009)?

    Thread from the dead!!!

Your cable is incompatible with your A6.

You need HEX-USB-CAN - you need this one precisely - http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCHU.html

Or you can contact NHN who is a forum sponsor and is a approved distributor for the above too.

Before you can do anything you need the correct cable, your service light is reset with VCDS too.

You need to look at the facelift section of this thread to stop any confusion with pre-facelift cars - A6 C6 VCDS Changes - Post & Pre Facelift

Gup told me this in another thread but i can't remember which one...how do you set fog lights as DRL's in VCDS/VAGCOM? Just found out a mate has VAGCOM so will be borrowing it soon. Sounds like it's a bit technical, apart from going into bootloader is there any danger of completely ****ing it all up?

    Fog Light as DRL (Facelift)

See here about halfway thru or where I posted my screenshots.

It wont work on facelift cars as they all have a dedicated DRL bulb on Halogen and Xenon 'lamps.

Not technical at all, everything is reversible and logged. Just some basic sums and some tick boxes to master.

Thanks Chris. Mine is a pre facelift 07 though, is it the same process as in /\/\ thread?
