Climate control not working properly

Hi, i am new to this site, so 'Hello' to all users, i hope i can have some help as i am a new owner of an Audi A6, and it has developed a few problems i need to rectify.
PS i do not have an owners manual.

The climate control only apears to work intermittently, i have adjusted the temperatures and in this cold weather, doesnt work when adjusted, i have tried it in auto and manual. The engine light has come on now and was wondering if this would be the something to do with it. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Am i missing something, or is there no way to search previous threads for similar problems, or do you have to tirelessly trawl through each page?

aircon doesn't work below (iirc 4) degrees.

climate will therefore, only warm the air to temp and allow it to cool.

If the EML is on, I'd get it fault scanned to see what's thrown up.

Go back to the A6 C5 Forum, and in the bar above the threads (Mine's white text on grey background, just above the sticky thread by Ben), on the far right of that grey bar, it says "Search this forum" Click that.

It's the blowers that aren't working when required, I have the temp set to 25 degrees and the LED blower display on full bars, and set in manual mode ie the up and down arrows lit. I get hot air eventually when the engine warms up and it's on very low. Very frustrating as this morning, car iced up, no blowers to defrost the screen. Any help please?

So does the fan not work?Have checked the fuse?

Yes the fan works, when it wants to, very intermittent, but not working much at the mo, last worked on sat.

Sounds like you need to check the fan out.Do you get the airflow in the right places when it does?If the fan is OK it may be a control unit problem
