Dump valves for diesels???

Hi,
Quick query, is it worth having dump valves for a diesel?? will it give the same sound effect as you get with pertol VW's??? or even a better performance??

I currently own a 115bhp Golf GT TDI mk4.

Spend your dough on a remap and forget about dump valves. They are only required on high performance turbocharged petrol engines, wich creates back pressure when the throtlle buterfly closes and eventualy stals the turbocharger ! Tdi dont have a throttle body so its no gain whatsoever....

I agree with what's written above, plus the diesel dump valves sound awful and nothing like the petrol ones
