    We fitted a stat from Europarts to an S3 a few weeks ago and had to replace it yesterday with an Audi one cos it had stuck open!! took another hours work and £20 of coolant .The cheap one wasnt cheap enough!!

    You should call yourself lucky that it wasn't on a v6 tdi engine !Now you know why i allways fit genuine parts to customers cars- i don't fancy doing-it twice !

    Should have remembered that Chris from when you our A4 Tdi 6mos ago.Glad it was Rob who did the work ,and cursing too,and now he needs his money back from Europarts.Would you believe the pin had come out of the locater hole so he had no heat for the past week

    They agreed a refund for the stat but not the coolant so have made a complaint to their Customer Services who are considering

    It is very common for motor factors to refund the part and not labour, you could always have collected the coolant and reused it as it wasn't very old

    I too would beastonished if they made any gesture but just think some feed back for selling shoddy goods is justified.They say they want customers to be happy with their deals and maybe they dont know that some items are not fit for purpose and need to tell their suppliers.Anyway cant see why they cant give an reply after 2 weeks.
