    Hi all,

My 2002 Golf 1.4 is running very rough for the first couple of minutes after starting, especially when it hasn't been run for a few days. There are no error codes, and the car runs fine once it has warmed up. However, I'm a big believer in 'preventative maintenance' and so would like to get this sorted before it snowballs.

I've heard that maybe this is a symptom of a dirty throttle body. Any other ideas? I thought at first that maybe one of the ignition coils was going, but I think that this would've triggered a code.

    Cheers, Ben.

I took it down the garage, they said it was probably some switch or other that controls the fuel flow. They changed it (~ £20), and it hasn't done it again since..!
