    Hi

    I'm fitting rear parking sensors to my A6 this weekend and I'm looking for a pic of a A6 with OEM sensors fitted so I can gauge their position

    Thanks in advance

    I think the postion marks are on the back of the bumper, you'll see them when you take it off

    Thanks for that. A full on rear pic would be great
    Thanks

    @kite
    I'll look out for them when I take the bumper off. If its the case I'll send a pilot hole through from the back of the bumper before I sent the hole saw through the other side.

    Cheers

    Yes, providing you have the correct parking module. It needs to have 8 inputs, then you'll need the front buzzer, and depending on model, you may also need a new front bumper with the sensor mountings in the grill. Then it needs wiring through to the rear of the car where the parking module is.

    i'm planning on getting one on mine, just in the rear. I asked about this at Audi Sheffield and was quoted 4-500 to get it done properly. I kinda left it at that.

    Anyhow discussing with my mechanic and he mentioned i should just get the normal ones in black. I was reluctant about them cos my car is dark blue but will check with the auto electrician if i can install them in the black plastic strip where the exhaust pipes are sticking out from. this way it should not have any difference in colour. Do post back when you get around to doing them as I might give it a try too.

    Hi

    Well I got them fitted today. It took me around two and a half hours from start to finish. I made sure everything was neat and tidy when finished (no wires showing) I bought the kit for €80 from a wholesalers. He said the kit was very reliable with very few failures. I got the same painter who did my door blades to paint them and there 100% match! The bumper had markings on the inside where sensors are originally located. I just drilled through from the back so I knew where to drill through from the painted side with a 20mm hole saw. Once done I located the power wire for the reverse light Soldered in the power wire to the unit, connected the earth wire to the bracket. Then I fitted the sensors to the bumper and fed the wires through the gommit to the unit. Then refitted the bumper, the bumper comes off in around 20 minutes.
    They are fantasticly accurate. Look great and OEM.

    P.S You won't be able to fit your sensors in the black part of the trim as they'll be too low to work properly. They'll have to be at least 400-450mm up from the ground.
    I'll post some pics off my sensors early tomorrow.
    Seen as I carried it the work myself and the painter didn't charge me for painting the sensors as he had paint left over from the door blades the whole job complete cost me the price of the sensors €80 I think the Audi ones are way too expensive.
