Just bought 58 plate A3 with telephone capability, although no cradle under arm rest yet, when I pressed the talk button on steering wheel several commands were heard, i.e. “PLEASE SPEAK A COMMAND” I then used my iphone 3g on Bluetoothto connect to the car and my numbers were displayed on the computer on the dash. GREAT. The first few times I got in the car with my iphone on Bluetooth a beep was heard, the car connecting/recognising my iphone? (I did not use the phone to make a call) PROBLEM... now my phone says unable to connect and the voice activation button does not work at all. Please help. Regards Ian

Have tried connecting another phone to the BT? Also try connectiong your phone with another BT device and searching for it as well to see if it is discoverable.

Hi YEMIBOY, Thank you VERY much for your reply.
My friend has tried and was unable to connect his phone to the car via BT (Blackberry).
My iphone does connect to other devices via BT, therefore I believe it must be the vehicles telephone capability which has just stopped working. Even when I press the voice activation button on the steering wheel there is no sound. Any ideas on what I need to do would be very much appreciated. Toonarmy01 (Ian)

Try deleting the phone from the cars memory and deleting the car from the iPhones bluetooth menu and start the reconnection again.

Also you if you have a VagCom cable you can search for the Telephone module to see if you get a report from it, you might be dealing with a faulty module.
