Im having the same issue in my 2009 q7, stuck in a carpark now waiting for it to turn on. Had a major service done recently with no issues except a faulty dpf sensor which we changed. After trying to start it theres a whurring noise in mid left, then it turns off after a few minutes.

I had several 'symptoms' that were cured when I changed the battery. Not cheap since the battery has to be coded in to the system - else things don't work. Interesting my '13 plate battery isn't holding a charge too well at the mo. Put it on battery charger for 24 hours all OK - then check a day later - 20%. There must be a lot of drain on the battery - or it's buggered - again.
